Life Learned Lessons
When people show you who they are, believe them. It is an unpleasant fact that some people you once called “friend” should have never inherited such a title. It is also incontrovertible that you may have to remove that title from people more times than you would like. In your quest for wisdom, knowledge, and truth remain connected to your values and do not lend credence to those who wish ill will upon you. Stay focused and confident that you can achieve your goals and dreams despite the hurtful, abrasive, abhorrent, and sometimes rage-inducing comments made by those who try to infiltrate your space with only the desire to impede your progress. Just as the moon continues to shine while a wolf howls at it, you must maintain your desire to move beyond merely existing into living. Through and through, remain you…to thine own self be true.
Throughout your journey and quest for success, you will encounter many roadblocks.
These roadblocks come in the form of negative thoughts, self-imposed limitations, dream killers, and the worst culprits of all, ill-intentioned friends. You will hear the words “you can’t,” “you shouldn’t,” “that’s silly,” “you’re not wired for that,” or some iteration thereof more often than you would like. Disregard such comments and carry on. While those phrases may be used maliciously, use them as ammunition to fuel you to brighter days and a promising tomorrow. Allow your actions to speak for you. Brian Tracy is quoted as saying, “Never complain, never explain. Resist the temptation to defend yourself or make excuses.” Take that to heart and allow your knowledge, skills, and abilities to tell your story. Remain cognizant that in spite of your best efforts and powerful record of accomplishment, some people have an innate curiosity to want to see things before they can confirm them. Accept all challenges. Sometimes you have to get out of the boat and show people that you can walk on water.
Cogito ergo sum – I think therefore I am.
Success first begins in the mind. It is a well-known misconception that someone can stop you from goal achievement and dream fulfillment. The only person that you need to move off your path is the scared version of you. Do not allow fear, someone else’s words, or an unclear picture of the future paralyze you. Jump and learn how to fly on your way down. As you navigate the labyrinth of life, understand that you control your destiny and the universe conspires to help you. You will be amazed with all that you can accomplish when you smile at naysayers, laugh at negativity, and view challenges as opportunities for growth and self-transformation. It is irrefutable that every obstacle yields to a stern resolve and supreme tenacity. I must also warn you that once you do what you said or thought could not be done, you can never go back to not doing what you just did. Let me repeat… once you do what you said or thought could not be done, you can never go back to not doing what you just did.
Visualize a world that transcends your most vivid imaginations.
Live your best life. Compete with yourself. Take advantage of every opportunity. Do not place noteworthy value on those who view you and your dreams as afterthoughts. Surround yourself with people who make you want to be better and do better. Believe in others. Believe in yourself. Follow your heart’s desires and walk the paths that were specifically created for you. Knowing that what is for you is for you and that the universe conspires to help you makes the journey much more fun. Just as sure as the sun continues to rise, as long as you stay true to your heart’s desires and attack every pursuit with rigor and supreme persistence, dream fulfillment is inevitable.
Trust God. Trust yourself. Act as if. Envision a fantastical reality. Dream big dreams. Believe that you believe. Allow yourself to imagine the possibilities.
Those of us who have #Ambition never retreat. We never surrender. Boldly go, my friends.
Until next time…love everybody and treat everybody right.
